So glad its near the weekend
I am going to register Poppet and Harley's litter this weekend. I have three more names to think of.
The kittens will need to be loose around the ground floor of my house this weekend. Luckily it is either laminated wood or tiles, unluckily it is open plan. They have been very reliable using their litter tray the last week or so: I will put a few more trays around so that nobody gets caught short.
Don't know what the other females will think of these little monsters. At least the crew usually teaches kittens their manners and to respect older ladies. Hope Poppet won't get over-protective and not allow the other females downstairs.
I also have to finish making the birth bed for Sniffy even though the earliest she will have kittens is after next weekend ie later than 25 November but I like the Mums-to-be to know where everything is.
Got to buy some sparkly things to decorate my cage for the Supreme cat show. Have to find things that are cat proof. Strange that manufacturers are concerned about children's toys being safe of things like teddy bear eyes coming loose and getting swallowed but there are no such concerns around cat toys and my cats usually demolish their toys. To add to the problem what I will be looking at won't be toys or meant for children or pets! And they will have to be portable as I am going to the show by train.

I started art journalling about 6 weeks ago and have been finding my way around. I am not a traditional artist. I like colour and layout, words, typefaces. I have been reading about Wabi Zabi and from there Zentangles. Most of my work is collage. I like making random poems and thoughts from cut out words. I find art journalling a good way of analysing my thoughts and moods even if third hand through the poems of others. I like to learn and have precised articles into my journals on things such as Pre-Raphaelites, the Gothic novel and the Magna Carta
| A collage of an advert plus added random words This page is acrylic paints and my words influenced by the falling leaves from the trees in the high winds of an October day. I also knit, mainly on the train as my cats tend to interfere with my knitting. At the moment I am knitting patchwork blankets as a square or two is easier to carry and to handle on the train. And I must share my kittens They are Russian Blues and they are three weeks old tomorrow I breed and show Russian Blues. See more on my website http://www.warwick-russians.com And today I have been busy taking the photos of my journal pages |

Lunch time on Thursday. Been going through Pininterst and clicking into peoples' blog. So many talented people. I am still waiting for Poppet to have her kittens. think I might have got her dates wrong. Started a journal page yesterday by wetting the paper thoroughly and then dropping in very wet blue acrylic. Then as it was drying dropping in a few pages some yellow. Tilting the page this way and that, then I quickly shut and opened my book. I was also flicking my brush at the page. Left it to dry overnight. This morning looked at it and I thought of Spring and how I should be planting daffodils now. First Autumn in current house with its steep north facing bank. Going to try and plant loads of daffodils so we get a cloud of yellow under the trees.

I also live by the sea but on the South Coast of England, a small residential town called Bexhill. We can see Beachy Head from there and we are close to the historical town of Hastings.

Starting blogging again
Hi, I haven't blogged for years but now I have got hooked on Pininterest and also on art journalling and revived my interest in knitting and quilting in particular but also updating myself on what people are doing with such things as crazy quilts. And all the new materials being used across many 'art' forms. I felt I needed a way of inputting to Pininterest.
I haven't got down to photography my journals to enable me to download links. But this is the first step.
Sitting here waiting for Poppet, a Russian Blue, to have her kittens. Hope it is at the weekend.
