October 14, 2012

I started art journalling about 6 weeks ago and have been finding my way around.  I am not a traditional artist.  I like colour and layout, words, typefaces.  I have been reading about Wabi Zabi and from there Zentangles.  Most of my work is collage.  I like making random poems and thoughts from cut out words.  I find art journalling a good way of analysing my thoughts and moods even if third hand through the poems of others.  I like to learn and have precised articles into my journals on things such as Pre-Raphaelites, the Gothic novel and the Magna Carta

A collage of an advert plus added random words

This page is acrylic paints and my words influenced by the falling leaves from the trees in the high winds of an October day.

I also knit, mainly on the train as my cats tend to interfere with my knitting.  At the moment I am knitting patchwork blankets as a square or two is easier to carry and to handle on the train.

And I must share my kittens
They are Russian Blues and they are three weeks old tomorrow

I breed and show Russian Blues.  See more on my website http://www.warwick-russians.com

And today I have been busy taking the photos of my journal pages
